With regards to the 'usual' question, his reply was 'I'm not pretending to be gay, and I'm not pretending to be straight'. If somebody said that to me, I guess I would automatically assume them to be bi, but maybe that's just my way of seeing things. I honestly think that the truth is out there anyway, just maybe not in-your-face in the way journalists would like it to be. The rumours have dogged the man for years, so nothing would surprise me. And unlike too many out there, I would not be disappointed regardless (and I'm not just saying that, ok?).

I know a big deal was made of Brandon Flowers out of The Killers being gay or bisexual because of the ambiguity of his lyrics, then he got married and denied any gay relationships. Tom Robinson made a huge deal of being gay, then got married with two kids. Labels don't work because we're all different anyway! Its very hard, I would imagine, to be in the public eye like that, and have to deal with people wanting to stick a badge on you.
